Dear UU Catskills Community

A message from our Co-Presidents: On behalf of the Board of Trustees, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude for your support and commitment to our beloved community. It is now time for you to be counted in the UU Catskills Pledge Drive for the coming year.

Why Pledge? UU Catskills thrives because of you—our dedicated members and friends. Your generosity enables us to:

  • Nurture spiritual growth: Through inspiring sermons, small group ministry, and affinity groups, we deepen our pursuit of justice, love, learning, and hope.

  • Serve our community: We impact lives beyond our sanctuary through volunteer time, half-plate and food collections, and by showing up to advocate for important social justice issues.

  • Maintain our investment in our buildings, grounds, and technology: Maintaining this investment provides us the space - in person and online - for spiritual work and programming that aligns with our values

Recent Accomplishments

Despite not having a minister, we have been able to maintain our attendance numbers. We are currently reopening the exploration of our building and space needs. Additionally, we are consistently searching for new and innovative ways to engage and collaborate through meaningful services, compelling RE programs, active committees, and after-service programs.

Our Current Need

This year, we have increased the salary offered to prospective ministers to raise our profile in the search process. We have purchased training programs to better understand Article II and how to create a “Healthy Congregation”. And our buildings continue to need maintenance and care.

How You Can Help

1.    Examine your Budget: Decide the level of giving that is comfortable for you.

2.    Pledge: Fill out the pledge form online or ask for a paper pledge form

3.    Spread the Word: Encourage fellow members and friends to join this collective effort.

Tomorrow begins today! Let’s continue our journey of love, compassion, and community. Your pledge matters, whether it’s a little or a lot. Please try to be as generous as you can. Every pledge counts.

Thank you for being part of our community.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Kristen Schara and Erin Hilgart Co-Presidents, UU Catskills Board of Trustees
